Dr. Treisha Thorpe

President & CEO

Dr. Thorpe founded U.S. Elite in October 2005 and launched its Track and Field Program that provides information and resources to benefit Elite Olympic Developmental  and Olympic Development Athletes.  Dr. Thorpe manages and oversees the Officers and programs of the organization.  She has also been instrumental in developing programs for the organization and has helped to launch its Liaison International Program in 2007 and the Health & Wellness Program in June, 2010.

​Dr. Thorpe received the 2021 Distinguished Faculty of the Year Award from Colorado Technical University and was previously awarded a Provost Outstanding Faculty Award in distance learning from Strayer University.

Keishia Thorpe, MEd.

Vice President and Liaison Director

Ms. Thorpe is the Co-Founder and Vice President of U.S. Elite.  She established the Liaison International Scholastic Program and currently serves as the Director of the program by helping at-risk student-athletes obtain 100% scholarship awards and also assist in their matriculation process to college.  Ms. Thorpe also oversees the Health and Wellness initiative.
 

Ms. Thorpe was named 2021 Global Teacher Prize ("Nobel Prize") Winner by the Varkey Foundation, 2021 Teacher of the Year at International High School Langley Park (Maryland), National Life Changer of the Year 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 Nominee, and 2017-2018 District of Columbia Public School Teacher of the Year Runner-up for her work with students inside and outside of the classroom.  

 

She has also been recognized by the Mayor and Chief of Police of the Town of Bladensburg, Prince George's County Public Schools, Prince George's County Board of Education, Prince George's Education Association, Senator Malcolm Augustine, and the Maryland Senate, and  County Executive Angela Alsobrooks.  

 

 December 14th, 2021, was officially proclaimed as Keishia Thorpe day in Prince George's County.

Dr. AnnaKay Edwards

International Liaison Ambassador

Dr. Edwards serves as the Liaison International Ambassador. She is a proud graduate of  Wolmer's Trust High School for Girls in Jamaica and Livingstone College (USA), completed medical school at the University of the West Indies (Jamaica), and is in her residency training. Ms. Edwards became a member of the U.S. Elite family prior to receiving a 'debt-free' collegiate scholarship opportunity through our program. She went on to pursue her college degree in Molecular Biology as an honor student; received a number of academic and athletic awards; and served as the Premiere Ambassador for her institution, Miss Livingstone College. Her academic philosophy is “A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals” (Larry Byrd)
